One of my fellow faculty members showed me these online journals today. It's pretty interesting actually. I've been thinking of starting my own blog for a while, but never thought it would be this easy to set up.
Of course, one of my students helped me with the initial sign-up, and scanned in some photos of me to make icons. That was rather helpful. I'm not entirely sure how the software works, but I do think if this works out well enough, I might consider loading the software on my home computer, as well.
Oh. Well, he just told me that it isn't software. Apparently I can just use my web page browser and write from home.
Speaking of school - or rather not speaking, but typing about it, I got my class schedule. In addition to AP English History, I'll also be teaching World Religions and Midieval History this year. Finally, the board has decided to go ahead with my proposal for the extra history electives. Personally, I believe it's a result of a certain older member stepping down and her daughter taking over for her.
Still, it means I can actually use parts of my own dissertation in the Mideval History and World Religions classes.
I'll stay on as Forensics Advisor for another year, as well. When they first offered me the position, I don't think they realized just how long I'd want to stay. I suppose my experience debating in High School and College might have helped with their decision, but then again, there are times I don't know if they even read through the resumes and Curriculum Vitae of the faculty here.
I take that back. I'm sure they read through them.
It had just occurred to me that I might want to take a few moments to prepare some materials for the new classes.
Oh, and I will be taking Tristan to the vet later this afternoon, as well. Forgot about that. I'd better go.
